For all new construction with screws and great craftsmanship I don’t think you’ll find a better deal.

This is the Premium model coop and is ready to be filled with lots of chickens, maybe 12. Its dimensions are 8ft wide, 4ft deep and 6ft high. Other dimensions are available. The front door locks and is 24 inches wide for easy cleaning and the side door is perfect for gathering your eggs and cleaning the nesting boxes. I sand the nesting perches so that the birds are comfortable and splinter free. The premium coop pictured above also has the half inch wire upgrade included at $580 picked up. If you have more then 12 chickens your probably finding that its time to get a second coop. Your boss chickens tend to gang up on the weaker ones so a second coop will help solve the fighting problems. So now you can get two coops delivered for the price of one delivery fee and have two beautiful coops to keep the chickens safe and comfortable. Paint, roofing and other options are available for a minimal cost as well.!

Additional sizes are as follow:

8ft wide, 4ft high, 4ft deep for $400
6ft wide, 6ft high, 4ft deep for $480  (to add extra nesting boxes $40 a pair)

Some further details on the construction if you’d like: I use 7/16 plywood for the walls of the coop which provides a good balance between strength and yet keeping the coop light enough to move when needed. I use mostly 1.5in X 1.5in construction when framing the coop and 2x4in solid wood for the parts that show in the front for strength and overall curb appeal. This also keeps the coop light enough for one person to push it a round the yard. It might weight 200 pounds. The coop is screwed together with both 1.5in and 2.5in metal screws where its needed and I know I error on the side of caution and use more screws then needed. The nesting boxes are strong enough for me to sit on them if I could fit in the boxes and the wire is about 1 inch wide web style, 20 gauge that provides adequate protection for backyard use. I do offer double wire, which makes the opening about .5inch and many times stronger for only $25 on 6ft coop. This is a must for those who have dog like predators. I also use a 14 inch board on the bottom of the coop to keep snakes out and this also will deter the dogs and other predators or at least provide you enough time to respond to the commotion.

This is the premium base model coop but there still are lots of upgrades to consider:

1. (Included) One upgrade you might want to consider if you are in a rural area is for me to use a thicker and tighter gauge wire on the coop so that the gap is even smaller, .5inch and the strength is considerable better because it would be very difficult for any animal to get its mouth on the wire to start with any kind of strength ($25 extra and it is picture in the last photo)

2. (Included)I now put as a free upgrade locking latches on both front door and side door as well, but if you’d like a gate style latch I can put one on for $4 dollars.

3. I can also put a board on the bottom of the coop so that no predator can tunnel its way into the coop for $40 or if you desire, I can wire the bottom of the coop for $50.

4. Shutter doors can be made to fully enclosed the wire part of the coop for ultimate protection and some added warmth for $100 or maybe you would just prefer the wood pieces to be cut so that you can board up the coop in the colder months with screws for $40 on 6ft and $50 on 8ft models.

5. Painting will depend on the size of the coop but for the 6ft model I charge $80 to paint the exterior of the coop with an all weather white roofers paint or to spray on a clear coat if you like the wood look. It gives it a lasting coat that can easily be painted over in the future if you should choose.
